The 12G-CROSS is a compact and low-power portable converter, measuring 4.2 by 5.1 by 1.2 inches, built with a durable aluminum case and designed without a noisy fan, making it suitable for nearly any environment. It can route either its HDMI or SDI outputs from the HDMI or SDI input, or from its advanced 4K scaling engine. This device includes a professional 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD test pattern generator that offers 57 output formats and 58 test patterns, including Luma and Chroma Zone-Plates, and it supports 294 VESA formats through the HDMI input. The 4K scaling engine can process signals from either input, supports horizontal and vertical flipping, can lock to SDI, HDMI, or Genlock input, and is capable of scaling and frame rate conversion across 351 input formats and 57 output formats, totaling an impressive 20,007 possible format conversions. Supported resolutions range from 4K at 60p via HDMI or 12G-SDI, down to standard-definition formats via SDI or HDMI. It also allows flexible audio routing for SDI and HDMI outputs and features four 12G/6G/3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs, enabling it to function as a 1-to-4 distribution amplifier. Designed for true portability, it includes an easy-to-use LCD screen with button controls, eliminating the need for computers, dip switches, or complex LED interfaces for setup. Additional features include a USB port for control and firmware updates, a metal-thread locking DC power socket, and included accessories like a power supply and USB cable.
